リーパーのマスカレードスキンの銃には”Beneath your dancing feet are the tombs of tortured men.”¹との一節が刻まれている。これはオペラ座の怪人からの引用らしい。

1925年に公開された映画「オペラの怪人」にもこのようなシーンが登場。

公式コミックに出てきた仮装の元ネタも映画のワンシーンだったのかも。
