前回POTMに選ばれたヴァンクーバー戦に比べるとおとなしい数字だが、それでも要所では持ち前の高火力を活かしキルフィードを埋め尽くすDecay。
ホッグパッチの追い風を受けたとはいえ、レギュラーシーズンでわずか4勝しかあげられなかったチームがDecay加入後のポストシーズンですでに3勝をあげており、過去に300Kのプライスタグが付いた同選手の価値はさらに跳ね上がっている。
そこで気になるのが来季の去就で、ワシントンにはコロナ禍など今季の特殊事情を考慮した新ルールで加入しているため、今季終了後にチームとは契約切れとなる。
これにより、今シーズン終了後には強制的にFAになるため3、他チームは移籍金なしで契約可能になることから、Decay本人が条件に関わらず残留を望んだ場合を除き4、複数チームによる激しい争奪戦がオフシーズン中に繰り広げられるのではないかと見られている。
