大型トレードの背景にはパリの逼迫した財政事情をあげる声もあり、例のリークが正しければ、まだXziが残されているとはいえ、パリは再びEU主体の路線に回帰するのかもしれない。

また、パリはGMのNinek（韓国）がフィラデルフィアのヘッドコーチに就任、さらにAidとLeviの2人のアシスタントコーチ退団も明らかにされている（共に韓国、後者は兵役）。
ダラスにとっては新加入の3名の他、DohaとYongコーチ1含めて元Element Mysticのメンバースタッフが顔を揃えたことになるが、既にredditではDallas Mysticと呼ばれている。
