本日、ハロウィンイベント“Halloween Terror”がスタートしたオーバーウォッチですが、Blizzardは同シリーズの累計プレイヤー数が2000万人に達したことを明らかにしました。
“We also want to share the news that Overwatch has crossed a new milestone—20 million players—making this special holiday treat all the sweeter,” Blizzard said in a press release.
8月に開催されたサマーゲームイベント時には累計1500万人に到達しており、僅か2ヶ月の間に500万人もユーザーが増加したことになります（ただし、無料プレー期間中のアカウントも含んでいると思われます）。
尚、プレイヤー数は全てのプラットフォーム（PC、PS4、Xbox One）のアカウントが対象なのでユニークユーザー数や販売本数を正確に反映したものではありません。

Blizzard has launched a Halloween event for its team-based shooter, which launched for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in May. The developer also noted that Overwatch has passed 20 million players, making it one of the game industry’s biggest hits of the year.
