中国事情に精通しているBeaconによると、上海ドラゴンズが新たにアカデミーチームを結成しシーズン3からコンテンダーズ・パシフィックに参戦するとのことです。

コンテンダーズのルールによると3、チームオーナーには同一地域にひとつまでチームライセンスを認めるとあり、同一地域内で複数のチームラインセンスは認めないとの規定があるので4、裏を返せば異なる地域であれば傘下のアカデミーを複数運営できることになります。
既に上海は中国内にTeam CCというアカデミーを所有していますが、パシフィックでのチームは”Cyclone Coupling”という名称で、現在はシーズン3に向けてすべてのポジションで選手を公募しています。また、コンテンダーズ・オーストラリア行きのために撤退したBlank Esportsからスポットも獲得しているのではないかとのこと。
