Hero pools: Sunday PST = Monday KST = 1 less day of practice for Asia (btw calling Asia the biggest esports market in the world the Pacific “East” division is kinda weird). At the very least I hope they release Sunday 12AM so we can pick up a day. Bi-weekly makes more sense imo.

Not sure how i feel about: “Teams will be informed of each week’s Hero Pool approximately one week in advance of matches. ”
and: “The heroes will be randomly selected”
Seems like a lot more additional stress for players and coaches 😬
This change won’t change who the best teams are, the good teams are the ones with confidence in their play and trust between their teammates. Adaptable players and teams that are able to talk things out together will still be strong. It will only effect “our meta” teams.
My last take, if hero pools forces teams to learn how to adapt faster and learn the game fundamentally and be more versatile in their hero pools, isn’t that a good thing? Doesn’t that help some players to play depending on the hero pool? and also hero-swapping becomes relevant
I don’t mind the idea of Hero Pools – interesting idea. I like working on the minor details in an attempt to perfect a comp, but I also enjoy pushing creativity/chaos.
My main concern is the 1 week notice. We’ll see how it plays out, but adaptability will be rewarded.
Alright. Rotating hero pools on a weekly basis is a terrible idea. It’s confusing for fans, makes match prep a nightmare, and will result in lower quality, messier games.
I’m not often so firm on something, but this is clearly a bad decision.
